FAQs

  • We can 100% infill your lashes if they’re done at another salon. There are a few things to keep in mind:

    • Lashes are clean and attached professionally

    • At least 40% of the lashes are left

If you don’t meet these criteria, we might determine it’s better to do a removal and then full set as we want you to get the most out of your lashes.

Please note that all lash artists and their material are all unique so an infill might look slightly different to your original set. It’s always beneficial for your lash health to have a proper removal of the original glue and then application of a fresh set.

  • We do have a grace period of 10 minutes, any later with no contact requires cancellation of your appointment.

  • We sell lash shampoo for $25, lash brush $10, MILASH serum $39 and REVIVE serum for $110. We do have an aftercare package as well which includes the first three items for $74.

  • 265 Edward St. You can find us near Queen Street Mall, across the road from Starbucks.

  • We pride ourselves in making all our clients feel like their most gorgeous selves. If you’re unhappy with your lash extensions, let us know and we will do whatever we can to fix them up for you, whether it’s too bold or not bold enough, we’ve got it!

  • If you end up being allergic to your lash extensions, we will happily remove them for you complimentary and then when your eyes have healed, we can do a patch test with our hyper allergenic glue.

Aftercare Tips for Gorgeous and Clean Lash Extensions

To ensure that your lash extensions stay beautiful and last longer, it is essential to take proper care of them. Follow these aftercare tips to keep your lashes looking their best:

1. Brush your lashes: Ask your lash technician for a spoolie brush if they haven't provided one already. Gently brush your lashes every morning and evening using the spoolie to keep them neat and separated.
2. Clean your lashes: It is important to clean your lash extensions at least once a week, especially if you have worn heavy makeup. Use a lash-safe shampoo to cleanse your lashes and remove any dirt, oil, or makeup residue.
3. Consider lash serum: To promote the growth and strength of your natural lashes, you may opt to use a lash extension-compatible lash serum. This can help nourish your natural lashes and enhance the overall lash extension experience.
4. Avoid getting lashes wet: For the first 4-5 hours after getting lash extensions applied, it is crucial to avoid getting them wet. This allows the adhesive to fully bond and ensures the longevity and durability of the lash extensions.
5. Avoid picking or pulling on lashes: Refrain from touching or pulling on your lash extensions. Be mindful not to rub your eyes excessively, as this can cause damage and premature shedding of the extensions.
6. Stay away from oily products: Oily products can break down the formula of the lash adhesive, resulting in weaker bond and potential lash extension loss. Avoid applying oily cosmetics or skincare products near your lash line.
7. Skip the lash curler: Lash extensions already provide a curled effect, so using a lash curler is unnecessary and can potentially damage your natural lashes. Embrace the natural curl of your lash extensions.
8. Avoid mascara: Mascara can clump the lash extensions together and make them appear less voluminous. It is best to skip mascara altogether when you have lash extensions.

By following these aftercare tips diligently, you can help maintain the beauty and longevity of your lash extensions. Remember, proper care is essential for ensuring that your lashes stay gorgeous and clean for as long as possible.

Contraindications for Eyelash Extensions Application

As experienced lash technicians at Milash Brisbane, our primary concern is for the health and safety of our clients. There are certain contraindications that might prevent us from applying eyelash extensions in order to protect your well-being. Below are some of the contraindications we carefully consider before proceeding with the application:
1. Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, it is usually recommended to remove them before getting eyelash extensions. This precaution helps to prevent any discomfort or complications that may arise during the application process and ensures a smooth and comfortable experience for you.
2. Conjunctivitis: Also known as "pink eye," conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the outermost layer of the eye and inner surface of the eyelids. It is a contagious condition and requires immediate medical attention. In the presence of conjunctivitis, we would postpone the lash extension application until the infection clears to prevent further irritation and potential spreading.
3. Styes: Styes are tender, red bumps that typically appear on the eyelid, often as a result of bacterial infection. In such cases, it is advisable to wait until the stye has resolved before proceeding with eyelash extensions. Applying extensions to an infected area can exacerbate the condition and delay the healing process.
4. Laser Eye Surgery: If you have recently undergone laser eye surgery, we recommend waiting until the healing process is complete before considering eyelash extensions. During this time, your eyes may be more sensitive and prone to discomfort, making it appropriate to postpone the application for a safer and more comfortable experience.
5. Lice: The presence of lice on the eyelashes requires immediate treatment from a medical professional. In such cases, lash extension application should be postponed until the lice infestation has been eradicated completely. It is important to prioritise your health, prevent the lice from spreading, and ensure a clean environment for the application.
6. Dermatitis: Dermatitis refers to inflammation of the skin, often causing itching and redness. If you have an active dermatitis flare-up near the eye area, it is advisable to delay the lash extension application until the skin condition subsides. Applying extensions during this time may further irritate the skin and delay the healing process.

In summary, these contraindications serve as precautionary measures to ensure your well-being and the optimal outcome of your lashes.
